VMB-613 "SEMPER FIDELIS" AWARDS PROGRAM
Bonus Points. Sites utilizing advanced features that enhance the viewer's experience may be awarded a maximum of ten (10) additional points. Examples of these advanced features include, but are not limited to, such things as guestbooks, site search engines, multi-media presentations, and the use of certain JavaScripts.
Selection. Following review, each member of the Awards Board will tabulate the points that they have individually awarded. The point totals will then be averaged by the senior member of the Awards Board. The result of this average will be used to determine the outcome of the evaluation. Sites scoring a minimum average of 75 points will be awarded the VMB-613 "Semper Fidelis" Award. The senior member of the Awards Board will then notify the awards program administrator as to the average point total with instructions to provide appropriate evaluation notification to the applicant as described below.
Evaluation Notification. You will be notified via the e-mail address you provided on your application within fourteen (14) days as to the results of your application.
Sites that do not meet our basic submission criteria will not receive notification, unless, in our opinion, the disqualification was an unintentional and minor discrepancy that is easily correctable. In these cases you will be notified via e-mail of the discrepancy. Should you choose to take our recommended actions, a complete review of your site will commence once we receive notification from you that the discrepancy has been corrected.
Applications from sites meeting the eligibility criteria contained herein, but not selected based on the evaluation of our Awards Board will be provided e-mail notification as such. Detailed explanations will not be provided, however sincere inquiries seeking our opinions and recommendations are always welcome.
Applications from sites selected to receive our award will receive an e-mail notifying them of their selection and providing them with an authorized award graphic for placement on their website. In conjunction with this action, pertinent information with an appropriate hyperlink will be added to our Award Honorees list.
Post-Notification Acknowledgement. Following notification that a site has been presented with our award, recipients are expected to acknowledge they have received notification once they have posted the award graphic on their website. Along with your acknowledgement you should provide the URL of the page where our awards graphic is located. Failure to complete this task within fourteen (14) days will result in the removal from the Award Honorees list.
Award Statistics. Award statistics are provided to document the history of this program. Tabulation of this data is the responsibility of the awards program administrator. This data will also provide applicants with an insight as to the competitive nature of this program.
Award Honorees. Applicants selected to receive the VMB-613 "Semper Fidelis" Award will be added to the Award Honorees list. This list will be maintained by the awards program administrator and will include:
1. The date the award was presented;
2. The name of each website, including an appropriate link to the site;
3. A brief description of each website's content, and;
4. The name of each site's webmaster.
Re-Submission Policy. Applicants not selected to receive an award may not re-submit for consideration until such time that there have been significant changes in design or content on their website. In these cases a minimum waiting period of sixty (60) days, from the date the evaluation notification was sent by our Awards Board, is required.
