5-INCH HIGH VELOCITY AIRCRAFT ROCKET (HVAR)

VMB-613's PBJ-1H aircraft could carry eight 5-inch High Velocity Aircraft Rockets (HVARs).  Each rocket weighed 140 pounds and had a length of 6 feet.  With a warhead consisting of 55 pounds of TNT, they had a velocity of 1,375 feet per second.
